Mission

Set a higher standard for Scion tC styling and modifications

The goal is to set a higher standard for styling and modifying the 1st Gen Scion tC. As a Scion tC enthusiast, my passion for detail, combined with DIY enhancements and access to newer technologies like 3D scanning and 3D printing, allows me to take a unique approach to car modifications. I hope to inspire other tC owners with a fresh perspective on what's possible with this platform.

Mindset

Less is more

Stand out by not standing out. I maintain a clean, 'less is more' mentality when it comes to car modifications. Not everyone will agree with this approach, but it's the direction I take on my journey as a Scion tC enthusiast. I consider my style to be OEM Plus or OEMish. My obsession with over-engineered things drives my passion for DIY enhancements. I enjoy working on a budget, but I'm also willing to explore new processes or invest more to achieve a specific look. I strive to avoid following the crowd in the car modifications scene.

History

I come from a forum background

Welcome to the ultimate resource for Scion tC enthusiasts! This site is dedicated to providing the community of TC1 owners with a comprehensive hub for all things related to the 2005-2010 Scion tC, including car modifications and DIY enhancements. I created this platform to share my experiences and insights.

Having immersed myself in various car communities over the years, I started with Hondas in the 1990s, right when Honda enthusiasts were pioneering B16 swaps, with minimal information available. It was truly a 'learn by doing' experience during those early internet days!

In the early 2000s, I shifted my focus to lifted Toyota Tacomas and the 5VZ-FE engine. For nearly a decade, I was captivated by Audi, beginning with a 1.8T B6 A4 Avant, and I quickly developed a passion for the Inline-5 20-valve AAN engine. My journey included owning a rare 1990 Coupe Quattro (1 of 1730 units imported), a 1993 Audi UrS4 Turbo (1 of 3400 in US/Canada), and a 1984 Gobi UrQ VIN WAUDC0854DA900065, one of just 664 produced. My last venture was with the 2005 Audi Allroad V8. Recently, I've returned to the scene with a 2015 Honda CRV and now the 2006 Scion tC, featuring the 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine.
